Fen Tigers’ new date for Isle of Wight League fixture

Mildenhall Fen Tigers promoter, Kevin Jolly, has moved quickly to avoid his ‘KJM/Manchetts’ Fen Tigers racing the Isle Of Wight on the same day as the Championship Fours event at Peterborough.

With the assistance of his counterparts on the Island, a new date has quickly been agreed. The meeting will now be held on Sunday, June 18.

Jolly was quick to praise the help he received in rearranging the fixture. He said: “BBarry Bishop and the Isle of Wight club couldn’t have been more helpful with this issue.

“I am extremely grateful for their support and now look forward to welcoming Barry, Martin, the Islanders and their supporters in June.

“I felt it would be folly to run against the Championship Fours meeting. Not only would it likely have a considerable effect on our gate, but also I was aware that a number of our supporters like to attend this day. Now they don’t have a choice to make.”
