There was little to trouble motorists and rail travellers this morning on both the railways and roads this morning across Suffolk and North East Essex.

Greater Anglia reported services were running normally although they did have to cancel the 6.24am train from Norwich to Liverpool Street, which was due into Ipswich at 7.08am, because of a train fault.

And the 7.40am Norwich to London Liverpool Street was formed of nine coaches instead of eight.

The main roads including the A14 and A12 were reported as travel free but just after 8am a lorry had overturned on the A140 Norwich road just north of Scole on the Suffolk Norfolk border.

And at 7.45am six hay bales, weighing a ton each, had fallen off a lorry near the sugar beet factory in Bury St Edmunds.

It led to a lane of the dual carriageway in Compiegne Way being closed.
