Major west Suffolk road reopens after lorry and car crash

A major west Suffolk road is expected to be closed for "some time" after a crash involving a lorry and a car this morning. 

Emergency services had to free one man from his car after the crash on the A134 near the Manger Pub in Bradfield Combust. 

A spokesman for the Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said: "One man was trapped in his car as a result of the crash.

"The man was conscious and breathing and has since been rescued from the vehicle and taken to hospital."

A spokesman for Suffolk police said: "The road is likely to be closed for some time due to debris and sheep in the road."

The spokesman has since confirmed that the road reopened at 12.55pm. 

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said:  “Two ambulances and a senior paramedic in a support vehicle attended a road traffic collision on The Street in Bradfield Combust just before 9am today.
