With just a few days to go, the Suffolk Dog Day birthday poll now has two breeds battling to be named the county’s top dog.
More than 2,000 people have voted for their favourite breed online, with Greyhound and Labrador fighting for pole position over the last few days. The leader board currently has Greyhound at number one, followed by Labrador, Cockapoo, Tibetan Terrier, Cocker Spaniel, Beagle, Jack Russell, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Border Collie and, at number 10, the Labradoodle.
Tim Holder, from Suffolk Community Foundation, said: “It’s been brilliant to have so many thousands of people casting their vote. Suffolk clearly remains very passionate about their dogs. I think we are looking at a photo finish but whatever happens, Peter Purves will be leading stunning breed parades for the top 10 winners on Suffolk Dog Day.”
Cast your vote at www.suffolkdogday.com/competition by July 3.
Suffolk Dog Day takes place on July 30 at Helmingham Hall and all proceeds are donated to local charities and community groups.
