Cathedral events net £5,000 for charity

Nearly £5,000 has been donated to charity as a result of two recent events at St Edmundsbury Cathedral.

From December 10 to 14, the cathedral held its second Christmas tree festival featuring festive firs decorated by 24 local charities. This raised £2,400 for local good causes.

Then on December 13, the work of the Children’s Society was profiled at the annual Carols by Candlelight service. Just over £2,400 was raised at the event for the Children’s Society.
