Traffic was held up on the A11 at Barton Mills this morning following a two car crash.

The vehicles involved were a Lexus and a Ford Focus but Suffolk Police reported that there were no injuries.

It took place on the northbound carriageway of the dualled stretch of road at 7.15am.

Officers were called to the scene and were evaluating the full extent of the crash but police said that traffic was getting through. The road was cleared by 8.05am.

Meanwhile, a broken down lorry on the A14 on the Cambridgeshire/Suffolk border between junctions 35 and 36, the Stow Cum Quy and A14/A11 interchange, resulted in long tail backs stretching to junction 38 to the north east of Newmarket with travel times reported to be up to 50 minutes longer.
