Suffolk is well known for its beers and ales from micro breweries, pubs and commercial breweries that can be found across the county. 

Here are all the breweries with food to visit in Suffolk in 2024.

Briarbank Brewing Company

Located in the heart of Ipswich, the microbrewery has been crafting beers in the town since May 2013. 

In the bar customers can try the full range of the brewed beer alongside a food menu including burgers, nachos and loaded chip bowls. 

The beer is brewed up to three times a week and is also served at its sister establishment Isaacs on the Quay. 

The Green Dragon

Chef Ian Cooke developed an international food menu including artisan Portuguese bread and Canadian Poutine. 

The kitchen is currently closed and will reopen on Thursday, February 1. 

Greene King Brewery

Where: Westgate Street, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 1QG

The menu includes sandwiches, sharers and bigger main dishes such as beef and ale pie. 

On Sundays the café is only open for tours, which can be booked online for just £20 per person and includes a bottle of beer to take home. 

The Old Cannon Brewery

Where: 86 Cannon Street, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 1JR

This brewery started in 1845 with owners Fordhams of Ashwell and now it makes beers with a focus on traditional English Ales. 

Customers can dine on breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a beef brisket, pork loin, or nut roast on Sundays. 

The beers brewed have names relating to a British nautical theme including The Gunners' Daughter and Powder Monkey.
