A dessert chain has withdrawn plans for a restaurant in a Suffolk town.
Kaspa's Dessert submitted proposals to West Suffolk Council in August to convert the former Oxfam store, in Bury St Edmunds' Cornhill, into a new branch.
In documents sent to West Suffolk Council, the chain sought to make alterations to both the inside and outside of the store.
New walls would be installed to create a divide between the customer area and the kitchen.
Kaspa's Desserts branding would also be erected outside of the store, which has been vacant since March.
The application followed a fire which closed their current site at 30-31 Cornhill on August 20.
A cordon was put in place while firefighters attended the blaze.
A spokesman for the chain said the branch would be shut until further notice.
Speaking at the time, Diane Hind, mayor of Bury St Edmunds, said: "It is always a shame when a business is impacted in this way, and it is in a prominent position."
Kaspa's Desserts has been approached for comment.
