With the nights drawing in and the lure of a hot takeaway increasingly difficult to ignore, a Suffolk vineyard has launched a pizza and wine offer to chase away the winter blues.

The Leaping Hare at Wyken Vineyards is known locally as a top foodie destination, with a permanent residency in the Good Food Guide.

The restaurant, which specialises in locally-reared and fine-dining dishes, has a little-known outhouse called the Moonshine Cafe, is a location frequented by Saturday market visitors on the hunt for a bacon roll or a lunchtime pizza.

The vineyard has announced that on Fridays throughout November a deal will be available in which customers can enjoy two pizzas, a garlic bread and a bottle of Bacchus (the vineyard's own) for £30.

Pizza toppings on offer include parma ham, heritage tomato, mozzarella and pesto, Suffolk salami and Wyken hot honey, butternut squash and red pepper and feta, and wild mushroom, mozzarella, truffle and celeriac puree.

The deal is on offer between 6pm and 8.30pm and orders can be placed by calling the restaurant or a visit to The Moonshine Cafe.
