Two Suffolk hotels have been named among the best in the country by the leading guide to stays in Great Britain, Ireland, Continental Europe and the Caribbean.

The Good Hotel Guide was first published in 1978 and is one of the most trusted sites for recommendations across the world.

Nearly all the 650 hotels and B&Bs in the current Guide have been selected as a result of reader or inspector recommendations.

Two hotels in Suffolk have been named in the guide in their list of the best hotels released yesterday.

The Swan dates back to the 15th Century but its spa has the feeling of modern luxury.

Situated in the heart of the wonky building, visitors to the spa should expect a dairy-free smoothie on arrival and access to treatments from some of the best in the business.

With 46 bedrooms and suites and two restaurants to choose from, The Swan really is a slice of luxury in the humble Suffolk countryside.

In the landscape near the iconic Newmarket racecourse sits Woodditton, a quaint village pub that is winning big awards.

Named once again as one of the best dog-friendly hotels in the Editor's Choice Awards at The Good Hotel Guide for 2023, the pub keeps comfort at the heart of its offering.

With nine bedrooms now available to book, this is a great weekend stay for those looking for a pooch-friendly stay in Suffolk.
