A Suffolk beer has been recognised at an international awards ceremony.

Ice Breaker Pale Ale has been named as the country winner at the World Beer Awards 2023.

Each year the World Beer Awards selects the very best in all internationally recognised brewing styles and last week announced its country winners.

Ice Breaker was not the only beer to secure a medal for Greene King at The World Beer Awards this year, as the brewers’ more recently launched Session IPA, Level Head, also secured a silver medal in the IPA category and Greene King’s dry-hopped Lager, Flint Eye, secured bronze.

Jack Palmer, head brewer at Greene King, said: "It is incredible to have secured another impressive award for Ice Breaker and with the launch of the refreshed look this month the pale ale is really proving what a fantastic beer it is."

The final World’s Best winners will be announced later this month.

Ice Breaker Pale Ale is currently available in over 1,500 venues, including Greene King pubs and major supermarkets.
