We all have our favourite shops that are no longer with us.

From the household names to the longstanding local independent stores, our high streets have changed a huge amount.

Our readers have shared which shops they remember and missed.

Andy's Records

Founded in Bury St Edmunds before expanding, the music retailer was synonymous with high streets in Suffolk.

The popular chain had several stores in the area, including in Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich's Buttermarket Shopping Centre.

However, the go-to place for all your musical needs collapsed in 2003 and fell into administration.

Grimwades is one of the best-known shops in the history of Ipswich.

Sneezums

While there remains a store in Bury St Edmunds, there is no longer a Sneezums shop in Ipswich.

The Fore Street pawn brokers had a wide array of items on offer, and was hugely popular at one point before becoming a jewellers.

In the 1960s, people were spotted queueing out of the door as they look to snap up a bargain in the sales.

Chelsea Girl

The fashion chain was hugely popular in the 1970s and 1980s.

A shop of its time, the store catered to young women's fashion and had several branches across Suffolk.

The chain eventually merged with its sister operation to become what is known today as River Island.

Woolworths

Arguably one of the most missed shops across our high streets is Woolworths.

From Newmarket to Felixstowe, the iconic shop had stores right across Suffolk and is sorely missed by customers.

The chain went bust in 2009.
