A woman has been taken to hosptial following a two vehicle collision which occurred on Symonds road in Bury St Edmunds.

The incident, involving two women, was attended by all three emergency services.

Police were called to the scene at approximately 12.20pm today to Symonds road on the junction with Sebert Road, Suffolk Fire and Rescue arrived shortly after Suffolk Constabulary.

Three fire engines were mobilised from Haverhill and Bury St Edmunds but one vehicle was asked to stand down.

An ambulance and an ambulance officer also arrived shortly after midday.

Two females were involved in the incident and assessed at the scene, following this one of the women was transported to West Suffolk Hospital.

The fire service were not required to cut those involved from the vehicles.
