BRITISH super bike champion Tommy Hill dropped into a motorcycle shop in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday as part of an open day event.

Hill, who is the winner of the British Super Bike Championships from 2011 and rides for Yamaha, signed autographs at Bowers Motorcycles, in Risbygate Street.

Bowers, a Yamaha motorcycle dealers, was offering special offers and discounts throughout the store on the day.

Member of staff Mandy Ditchman said it had been a “very successful day”.

“We had quite a lot of people come in today. A lot of people just to see Tommy. We advertised it. He’s got quite a big following.”

She added: “He was really friendly and easy to chat to.”
