The accident happened in Lindsey Way in Stowmarket at 9.30pm.

Inspector Richard Gubbins said the vehicle had gone into the front of the house and had caused damage to the building.

Nobody was hurt in the collision, he said.

Gas and electrical engineers have been called to the scene and fire crews have also been called to deal with flooding.

Police have also urged motorists using the county’s roads tonight to be careful following reports of ‘difficult driving conditions’ in some parts.
