A POLICE operation to clamp down on driving offences has been hailed a “big success”.
Fifty Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN) were issued as police in Bury St Edmunds carried out a major operation last Thursday.
Officers targeted parking offences, use of restricted roads and speeding motorists. They were also on the lookout for illegally modified vehicles, focusing on the Buttermarket and Cattlemarket car park.
Sergeant Davy Hill said the operation had been successful.
