Children from Sexton’s Manor Community Primary School in Greene Road, Bury St Edmunds, and residents from Risby Hall Nursing Home in Risby have been creating songs which they will showcase at a concert next week.

The project has involved six children and six residents who have worked together over five weeks. Music therapists from Suffolk Music Therapy Services have been supporting the pairs in the song-writing process.

Headteacher Debbie Knight said: “This is an amazing project and the children have got so much out of working with the residents at Risby Hall.

“It is so nice to see our children welcoming them
to the school and taking
great care to make sure
that they are looked
after.”

Home manager Tania Sibbald said their residents really looked forward to going to the school each week.

The concert is taking place at the school on Monday at 2pm. To attend contact the school office on 01284 754371.
