A MILKMAN has been left ‘shaken’ after hooded attackers jumped out him and started hurling bottles at his van.
Police have appealed for information about the incident, which happened in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday.
A police spokesman told how the milkman was driving in his van along Anglian Lane at about 3.50am when the drama unfolded.
The spokesman said: “Four youths jumped out from the side of the road and threw bottles, which could have contained alcohol, at the vehicle.
“The victim drove off but was shortly confronted again by the boys as one of them chased him down the road shouting as the others watched. The van was undamaged but the victim was left shaken.”
All four were white. Three of them wore hooded tops and the fourth a cap. The boy who followed the van down the road is described as having light-coloured hair, about 5ft 9in/10in tall, of slight build and wore light coloured tracksuit and bottoms. He was carrying a white carrier bag.
