FOUR members of the catering and event team at the West Wing at Ickworth in Horringer have completed a 24-hour bike ride.

Chris Swallow, 26, Daisy Jones, 23, Matthew Costello Clarke, 20, and Alex Johnson, 24, cycled from Bury St Edmunds to Horsey in Norfolk, taking in as many National Trust venues and parks as possible.

They alternated breaks in the support car so cycling was constant.

Last week’s challenge was to raise money for the worldwide Stop Hunger initiative, which their employer Sodexo is behind. It aims to educate people on good nutrition and promotes good life skills in the community.

Mr Swallow said the bike ride was fun.
