Free, cancer information and support is coming to Suffolk during Cancer Talk Week courtesy of Macmillan Cancer Support’s mobile service.

The Macmillan bus “Dougie” has a team of cancer information specialists onboard who will be encouraging people to share their worries or concerns during the campaign which runs from January 22 to 29.

The bus will be at the Co-op, Market Hill, Framlingham, on January 23, Market Square, near Milton Road South, Stowmarket, January 24, outside Poundland, Cornhill, Ipswich, January 25; and Guineas Shopping Centre, Newmarket, January 26. All the times are from 9am to 4pm.

Wendy Marchant, cancer information specialist at Macmillan, said: ‘Talking about your cancer may feel difficult at times. You may think it’s not worthwhile or you may worry about making someone feel uncomfortable. But putting your fears or concerns into words can help you, and others, make sense of difficult situations and feel more in control.”
