Thieves stole money from an ATM cash machine after ripping the front off at Costcutter petrol station in Newmarket Road, Bury St

POLICE are currently investigating after thieves pulled the front of an ATM machine off and stole a quantity of cash.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said the incident took place at Costcutter petrol station, Newmarket Road, Bury St Edmunds at around 3.35am this morning.
Police believe that a white van was attached to the ATM machine which then pulled the front off.
The contents of the cash machine was then stolen before the van was driven away along Newmarket Road in the direction of Glasswells.
Police have cordoned off the scene as the investigation gets underway but are appealing for anyone who may have seen the van before or after the incident or has information in relation to those involved to get in touch immediately.
