Hundreds of thousands of pounds have been spent on a major renovation of a Suffolk pub-hotel.
Greene King pub The Dog and Partridge in Crown Street, Bury St Edmunds, has reopened after a host of works were carried out.
The large garden area has been given an overhaul, with an upgraded outdoor seating area bespoke curved benches and festoon lighting.
It includes anew covered pergola with slatted timber beams adorned with climbing plants and fairy lighting.
New artwork and 3D art have been installed connected to Greene King's Westgate brewery - just around the corner - with a new ‘Hops Garden’ using old equipment celebrating the beer making process.
Inside the pub has been redecorated with new backbars added and a new layout.
The hotel has also recently undergone a revamp - with all nine rooms upgraded with new beds, bespoke fixtures and furnishings and refitted bathrooms to complement the 17th century heritage of the inn.
Pub general manager Adam Curley said: “Our team at the Dog & Partridge cannot wait to welcome back the community, customers old and new to check out our new offering.
“The Dog & Partridge will offer an exciting place for locals and visitors alike to enjoy as we bring a whole new lease of life to the pub and hotel, whilst retaining all its existing charm, history and its traditional atmosphere.
“We’re confident that customers will love our improved facilities for an even better drinking, dining and overnight experience than ever before, just in time for summer.”
